Japan visa for Indonesians: requirements and documents
Indonesians with an e-passport can visit Japan without a visa for up to 15 days after registering in advance (visa waiver registration). For longer stays, or without an e-passport, apply for a visa at the Japan Visa Application Centre (JVAC).

Can I use the JAPAN eVISA?
Visa waiver: holders of ICAO e-passports who register in advance (online through JAVES, or on paper at JVAC) can stay up to 15 days for tourism, business or visiting family and friends. The registration is valid for 3 years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first, and covers multiple trips. A new passport or a change of name needs a new registration, and unregistered travellers are refused at the airport. Show the Registration Notice on your own device; screenshots and printouts are not accepted. For tourism stays longer than 15 days, residents of Indonesia can get a single-entry JAPAN eVISA (up to 90 days) through an accredited agency.
